October is Good Food Month in NSW and there is plenty on in Sydney to satisfy even the most hard to please foodies.
A number of events and venues in and around Walsh Bay feature in this years official program including the 10th annual beer festival at The Australian Heritage Hotel (October 17-19), ‘Let’s do lunch’ offers ($38) at Hickson Road’s The Dining Room as well as a special ‘Neo-Tokyo’ menu and pop up bar celebrating Halloween at Sake on October 31. And for anyone looking to sample to best regional wines in the sate don’t forget the NSW Wine Awards ‘Outstanding on the Pier’ on in Walsh Bay on October 30.
Other highlights of this year’s official Good Food program include the popular Night Noodle markets returning to the CBD (October 10-26), Asia Town – a street food festival featuring a host of celebrity chefs in Pyrmont (October 19) as well as conversation with Yotam Ottolenghi. Highly regarded chef, writer and TV personality Yotam is best known for his Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cooking and he will be sharing his views and food philosophy with journalist Joanna Savill as part of the Good Food program at the Opera House on October 29.
