From October 15- 25 you can catch The Australian Theatre for Young People’s latest production - Luke Llyod: Alienoid.

The play’s central character, Luke, is smart funny and imaginative but has no friends at school. From the outset Luke realises he’s not only unique but of an entirely different species to the other kids in his class!

Luke’s father (whom he has never met) came from a distant planet - which makes Luke half human, half alien or an ‘alienoid’!

This light-hearted play is designed for actors aged between 10 and 13 years old and was the winner of the 2013 ATYP Foundation Commission. Written by John Armstrong and directed by Sarah Parsons the work is said to speak to “the little bit of alien in all of us”.

And in a coup for aspiring actors out there the script will be published by ATYP production partner, Playlab, to coincide with the current season - so in years to come rather than watching from the audience children might be on stage presenting their own version of the production!

Tickets costs $20 per head. To book www.atyp.com.au or call
