Slated for completion in early 2017, Barangaroo Ferry Hub project represents a new mode of public transport for visitors to access Barangaroo and surrounding areas like Walsh Bay.

Designed to serve Barangaroo and neighboring precincts by providing increased capacity for ferry services to meet future demand, Barangaroo Ferry Hub will feature two wharves (a third planned as demand rises) and berthing space for additional ferry services from the Parramatta River along with direct commuter access to and from the Eastern Suburbs and lower North Shore.

Along with the likelihood of increasing visitors numbers to the site and surrounding areas, the benefits of the project include improved public transport access to and from the western and central parts of Sydney’s CBD (via Wynyard Walk), direct public transport access to the Barangaroo, relief to busy, nearby ferry terminals such as Circular Quay and an alternate ferry service to offer the public – especially during special events and transport maintenance activities.
