Thank you to WBAC members who braved the rain on the 13th of March for what turned out to be a great gathering, generously hosted by The Lord Nelson Hotel and our wine partner Inner City Winemakers.
The Back Bar is an ideal, cosy setting for a private gathering with viewing window to the in-house micro brewery and the inviting, heritage ambience that this iconic local pub is renowned for.
We were treated to fabulous food including seafood dumplings (Jasmine can you fill in other details please of what the food was) and Beer Bread – if you’ve not already tried it, you must! All washed down with Lucille Sparkling, Verdelho Chardonnay and smooth Shiraz from Inner City Winemakers.
WBAC Members can feel proud that Sydney’s 5-star hotel concierges consistently tell us that our annual Concierge Famil is the one event they look forward to each year! 27 turned out to this year’s famil on Wednesday September 12 and the feedback indicates that participating venues once again made an incredible impression:

Niche Construction is an idea borrowed from evolutionary biology. It refers to the process whereby living organisms, through their activities and choices, modify their own and each other’s environment. In the context of culture and art, niche construction is a process in which individuals, although living in a unique and protected space, connect, collaborate, compete, and have influence on one another.
A new Australian play that's entertaining, inspiring and suitable for all ages!
“Kiss of the Gallery Guard” opens in the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct May 11 for three weekends.
What's it about?
Art theft, forgery, romance! Young Amber leaves the outback under a cloud. She makes good in Sydney at the Art Gallery of NSW, then better in London…. and even better in New York. How did she do it? What happens if she returns to Australia? And how can one strange painting be interpreted in nine different ways by nine different people?
In partnership with Pink Hope Australia and Laurent-Perrier, join the Langham's team at Sydney's most exclusive harbour side retreat and experience the height of elegance this Melbourne Cup.
An enthralling afternoon awaits you. Following champagne on arrival, world class Chef Dave Whitting presents an enticing three course menu in Bistro Remy, along with extravagant giveaway prizes on the day.

Returning to Sydney for its fourth year, Global Trade Review’s (GTR) key annual gathering has evolved into the Australia Trade Forum for 2017 and will take place at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth on Monday 29 May.
A corporate-focused occasion bringing together all sectors involved in international trade, the event will report on developments in global markets and their impact on Australian trade, and explore what the future may hold for Australia’s corporates and exporters. With organisers touting this year’s conference as an “ideal opportunity to establish new relationships with those currently doing business in the country, bypassing the need to set up countless meetings over several days, saving time and money.”
